It started with a dream of a single pug. Sixteen years ago, that dream became a reality when we rescued Bodie from Florida-Georgia Pug Rescue. We didn't just gain a pet; we gained a "canine comedian" who introduced us to a world of lifelong friendships, laughter, and a deep-seated mission to give back.
A Legacy of Love: Spanky and the "Blind But Not" Mission
Our hearts grew when we adopted Spanky, a 10-year-old blind senior. Despite the "bumpy ride" of brotherly jealousy at first, Spanky and Bodie became inseparable icons. Their adventures on Instagram (@bodiespanky) reached over 38,000 followers, but more importantly, they inspired us to launch Blind But Not and later Pug Mug Photo.
Through self-taught sewing and knitting creating pet blankets, pet pillows and handmade pug scarves, we set out to thank the rescue community. What started as a small goal has blossomed into over $84,000 raised for pug rescues, $1,000 at a time.
Meet the Current Crew: Banksy & Christopher Robin
The pug love continues today with our two newest Florida - Georgia Pug Rescue family members:

Meet Jane - The Powerhouse Behind Blind But Not
I’ve been a lifelong dog lover, but for years, my career kept my home quiet. I poured that energy into volunteering at local dog rescues, where I officially fell head-over-paws for the quirky, lovable Pug breed!
Once my husband Chris and I married, we finally opened our doors to our first rescue, Bodie. Little did we know this "fourth-home" pup would change our lives forever! Soon after, Chris spotted “Spanky” a skinny, frightened, and blind senior at Florida Pug Rescue. Chris knew instantly: "No one will give him a forever home—except us.” After a short family meeting the decision was made.
Knitting for a Cause: The Birth of Blind But Not
Spanky’s resilient spirit inspired me to launch Blind But Not. What started as a project knitting handcrafted dog scarves has blossomed into a Pug rescue fundraiser. To date, we have raised over $84,000 to support medical care, a better life and "forever homes" for Pugs in need.
Hi, I’m Chris—the lucky human behind Bodie and Spanky and now Banksy and Chrissy!
My journey into professional pet photography truly began in 2010 when we rescued Bodie. Since then, and with the addition of our sweet Spanky in 2013, I’ve spent countless hours mastering the art of the Pug photo session.
Whether I’m shooting high-end headshots, branding images, or lifestyle portraits, my goal is the same: capturing the true personality and emotion of the subject. I’ve found that my years of experience in professional portrait photography translate perfectly to our four-legged friends.
The secret to a stunning dog portrait? It’s a mix of endless patience, a calm voice, and—of course—a pocket overflowing with high-value treats!
